Direction Center to Access Gateways to Chemical Kits
The listed Access Gateways illustrate very unique collections of chemicals in convenient kit form for nondestructive crystal compound studies and individual element analysis for "in lab" preparations of reference materials in the absence of readily available standards. Click on the red band to gain access to their respective data sheets for more detailed Information.
Gateway to Access XRD Mineralogy Set |
|
| Fifty different powdered mineralogical substances, most are difficult to find, are provided in a convenient and organized wood case for non-destructive XRD or microscopic analytical investigations. The reference materials are initially selected for their purity, comminuted to a particle size of 44μ and batch blended to ensure uniformity of particle distribution and homogeneous representation. Approximately ½ cc of each compound is contained in a glass vial with a polycone screw cap, protected in polyfoam and packaged in a wood case with a lockable hinged lid. The inside of the lid contains an alpha-numeric listing of each vial location for easy retrieval. | |
Gateway to Access SpectroStandard® XRF Reference Materials Preparation Kit |
|
| The assemblage of fifty different compounds, mostly oxides, are designed to offer the analyst the capability to compare infrequent or “out-of-the-ordinary” powdered sample substances to the constituent elements of the listed reference materials. This unique kit provides an alternate method of analysis in situations of the absence or unavailability of standards. Instructions are provided to calculate gravimetric weights for diluting the powdered reference materials to desired concentration levels. After blending the diluted reference material powders are suitable for analysis as direct “powder over thin-film” or briquetted self-supported pellets for future usage, establishing initial instrument parameters and monitoring potential drift. | |
