Automatic 30 Ton Force SpectroPress® Accepts Four Different Die Sizes


Integrated Die Simplifies Briquetting; no need to remove and disassemble the die set to extract the sample pellet.

A user selected die size is included with this Automatic 30 Ton SpectroPress model. For laboratories briquetting the same size XRF pellets, this model will perform with amazing speed, ease, convenience and reproducibility. To insert a powdered sample or remove the sample briquette, die removal is completely eliminated by means of an innovative mechanical design.

Two momentary buttons control the operation for briquetting, decompression and sample pellet ejection. Depressing the “Up” button raises the ram and the “Down” button retracts the ram. Analog gauge indicates force in one ton increments up to 30 tons.

For optionally applying dwell time, discontinue depressing the "Up" button at the desired pressure for a timed interval before depressing the “Down” button for decompression and pellet removal.

Small compact design is ideal for counter top operation. All integrated dies accept Chemplex Tapered-Walled PelletCups®. Illuminated working chamber (on some models) improves visibility.

FAST, EASY AND CONVENIENT
TO USE

 
  1. Place powdered sample in a Compressible Tapered Chemplex PelletCup® on ram.
  2. Depress "Down" button until PelletCup is adequately retracted to accept stainless steel Briquetting Cap.
  3. Insert stainless steel Briquetting Cap over the PelletCup within the die body.
  4. Rotate Anvil forward completely over the Briquetting Cap.
  5. Depress "Up" button until desired force indicated in tons is attained.
  6. If dwell is required remove pressure applied to "Up" button for a timed interval.
  7. Depress "Down" button to retract the ram.
  8. Rotate Anvil completely to its backward position.
  9. Depress "Up" button to extract Briquetting Cap and briquetted pellet in preparation for introducing another sample.
