"AutoFluxer® Plus" Automatic Fusion Machine for Casting XRF Beads and for ICP/AAS Dissolutions
Automatically transform powdered samples into “iso formed” vitreous beads for direct XRF analysis or for sample dissolutions in preparation for ICP/AAS analysis.
Matrix, particle and particle-size related differences between samples and standards are eliminated by transformation to the same borate fusion material matrix. The process is amazingly fast and the machine is simple to operate with a small footprint for minimum counter top occupation.
The AutoFluxer® Plus fusion machine is the next advanced generation of the time-proven AutoFluxer Standard Model. It is especially designed for routine analysis, when reproducible melting conditions for various materials with specific fusion parameters are required, independent whether the machine is operating to capacity with full four stations or in between for some single sample or one or two stations only.

The AutoFluxer® Plus fusion machine is the next advanced generation of the time-proven AutoFluxer® Standard Model; the same small footprint for countertop installation, flexibility for casting beads for XRF analysis and for dissolution of samples for ICP/AAS incorporated into a single machine
- Mold sensors for each XRF Station, preventing unintended start of melting cycle on a station without a mold in position; takes 32 pr 40 mm molds.
- Advanced agitation function designed to ensure effective mixing during the process: circular, slightly vertical, forward and backward, pausing, with time and speed adjustability.
- Automatic and reproducible computer controlled flame temperature setting from 800° to 1650°C accompanied with digital temperature display of each station during the complete process.
- Automatic shut down at over-temperature to protect costly platinum ware and against unintended high temperature settings.
- A simple easy-to-use configuration is designed to effectively self-lock the crucible holder in position eliminating the potential threat of repair or any mechanism or pneumatics that can stop the operation.
- Restricted access capability is programmable to account for different technical levels of operator expertise.
- A defined positioning of the crucible over the burner for melting and pouring the melt into a mold or the center of a beaker for dissolution applications prevents inadvertent mishaps.
- ICP/AAS solution module with up to 4 stations is designed to easily attach to the XRF unit without the use of any tools; the reversible cradle simply snaps together.
- The solution modules have integrated individual speed controlled magnetic stirrers, waterproof, all stainless steel construction with 150 ml PTFE beakers and stirrers.
Possibility of manual program override during operation option is performed by program reset any time via the start/stop push button control.
Operational safety by minimizing moveable parts, emergency shut off, gas leakage shut off, overheating shut off, lockable flame control unit, XRF station shut off via mold sensors, flame control by temperature sensors, LED status display, full text display information of gas and oxygen bottles running low in supply.
