Platinum/Gold Alloy Crucibles and Molds For AutoFluxer(TM) Fusion Machines
The platinum ware required for the fusion process is a special alloy consisting of an exceptionally high purity of 95% platinum and 5% gold metals. This combination of metals is characteristically suited for the fusion process due to its negative coefficient of fused sample adhesion. Fused sample decanting from the crucible to the mold is virtually free of any lingering droplet at the pouring spout or within the body of the crucible. Removal of thermally set beads is similarly easily performed.
