Placing Orders
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions. By placing an order the purchaser agrees to acknowledge to have read the terms and conditions herein and accepts them without recourse. Prices are subject to change without advance notification. Chemplex reserves the right to effect engineering changes, product deletions and other changes without advance notification. Any inadvertent errors are not the
responsibility of Chemplex Industries, Inc.
On-Line Orders. Orders and comments may be submitted On-Line. Refer to our website at: http://www.chemplex.com
Telephone Orders. Telephone Orders may be placed between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM EST. Orders placed before 3:00 PM (1500 hours) are usually processed for shipment the same day. Written, clearly marked "Confirmations" are suggested on verbal orders to avoid duplications. Any discrepancies between verbal and written orders are assumed by the customers. Please be specific with details to avoid unnecessary delays.

Written Orders. Submit written orders to our mailing address (below) or to our fax number. Orders are accepted and processed subject to current prices.
Fax Orders. Submit fax orders to (772) 283-2774.
Credit Card Orders. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For your protection, please do not provide your credit card information via e-mail. For security you should only provide us with your credit card information by telephone, fax or mail.
Blanket Orders. For customers routinely purchasing specific products, a blanket order may be established. This provides for the automatic shipment of the item(s) on a regular basis, greatly benefits the consumer by pricing at the higher volume discount level, eliminates issuance of additional purchase orders and assures uninterrupted customer operation by prompt deliveries. Shipping Charges
Prepaid and separately added to invoice except by truck and airfreight, which are, shipped Collect. Foreign orders are shipped Ex-Factory.
Each order is subject to a handling charge.
Insurance. Available by carrier at current rates and by specific request only when placing orders. Insurance costs are to the "Buyer's Account".
Special Packing. Many types of merchandise require special packaging to comply with government rules and regulations and to ensure receipt of undamaged equipment. Any extra packing charges are included in the Handling charge listed in the invoice.
Title and Ownership. Title and ownership of all merchandise is transferred to consignee upon delivery to a commercial carrier. Acknowledgment of receipt in good condition of the merchandise is made by commercial carrier.
Payment Terms
Established Accounts: Net 30 days from date of invoice to firms in good credit standing.
Non-Established Accounts. You may apply for a new account, with or without a new order, by simply completing our Online Credit Application Form , or you may prefer to fax or mail it to us. Allow up to 3 weeks for processing. In the interim, payment against orders may be made by any of the following: credit card, C.O.D., electronic wire transfer, certified check and payment in advance. If credit references are not furnished, the above payment terms remain in effect.
Delinquent Accounts. Invoices not paid within 30 days are subject to a 1.5% Finance Charge in addition to a one-time $10.00 US Accounting fee. Delinquent accounts will be submitted to a collection agency after our standard "net 30 days" terms have elapsed.
Cancellations
Cancellations of orders are accepted only on unshipped stock items and upon appropriate notification and confirmed in writing. Custom manufactured products are not subject to cancellation.
Merchandise Return and/or Exchange
No items are accepted for return or exchange without advance notification and our issuance of a Return Authorization Number (RAN). No items are considered for return or exchange beyond 30 days from the date of invoice. Packing and all transportation expenses are assumed by the customer. Excepting for the return or exchange of items covered by the standard terms of warranty, all other returned merchandise is subject to a 25% restocking charge, plus shipping and expenses provided the returned goods are unused, undamaged and in a resalable condition as determined by our inspection. The following information is required: invoice or packing list number, date of order, customer account number and purchase order number. Only Credit Memos are issued against material purchases for use within 6 months of Credit Memo date.
Damaged Goods
Inspect carton upon receipt for visible signs of damage. If carton is received conspicuously damaged, refuse acceptance and/or alert carrier to the condition. Do not contact us.
Export Orders
Purchase orders should clearly and separately indicate billing and shipping addresses, if different. Particular attention should be given to provide the city, postal code and country clearly in addition to other pertinent information, which will assure receipt of ordered merchandise. Many orders are delayed in transit or Customs due to inadequate or incomplete shipping information. Normal shipping terms are: Ex-Factory.
Depending upon destination, export orders may be subjected to various additional charges for Customs Documentation, Certifications, Insurance, etc. Please request a ProForma Invoice prior to placement of orders to avoid any unnecessary delays. Our Export Department is experienced and will be pleased to offer any required assistance in assuring a prompt reply to accommodate export orders. Customs, documentation fees, taxes, etc. is assumed by the purchaser.
Warranty
All products manufactured by Chemplex Industries, Inc. or its affiliates are guaranteed against defects in parts and workmanship for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date of invoice. Products and/or constituent components not manufactured by Chemplex Industries, Inc. are warranted only by the respective manufacturer(s) and in accordance with their terms and conditions. This warranty is limited to replacements or repairs of defective components as determined by our inspection and discretion. Certain products such as titanium carbide, tungsten carbide, agate, and zirconia are not guaranteed against chipping or breakage as indicated in their respective product descriptions.
Representation
Chemplex Industries, Inc. reserves the right to effect product additions, deletions, substitutions or changes in specifications and prices in accordance with good manufacturing practices, technology, material availability, safety and market trends without notification. Any information including actual products furnished by Chemplex Industries, Inc. is as representative as possible. Final independent testing and decision to determine product suitability and manner of product use is the sole responsibility of the customer. Chemplex Industries, Inc. further assumes no liability whatsoever for the accuracy or completeness of information contained on this catalog, or any written communications or correspondence, including product data sheets, web sites, advertising, exhibitions, etc., whether or not products are used in accordance with instructions, suggestions and contemplated use.
Precautions
All products supplied by Chemplex Industries, Inc. are available for purchase by all competent professionals in the scientific community. They are not intended for use in any FDA regulated application (e.g. foods, drugs, cosmetics) or for personal or household purposes. We expect our products to be judiciously handled and stored in our assumption that the purchaser is a qualified, safety-conscious and trained professional experienced with the techniques in which our products are insinuated for use. Our acceptance and filling of an order is based on this assumption and we must place the entire burden of safe handling, storage and application of our products on the customer. Material safety date sheets (MSDS), where applicable, are available only upon specific request and restricted to distribution to firms that have purchased the subject products.
