XRF Sample Cup Accessories

There are various XRF Sample Cup accessories available for preparing and handling sample cups and thin-film sample supports. The following listing will direct you to the items of interest in your laboratory.

Sample Cup Thin-Film Window Chemical Resistance Test Paper

image of Chemical Resistant Test Paper

A simplified method to evaluate the chemical resistance of a thin-film sample support window to liquid samples contained in XRF Sample Cups is available to avoid potential damage to instrumentation, facilitate handling and storage for future referral.

Place an assembled test sample cup containing a liquid sample and a thin-film sample support window in question on a Chemical Resistance Test Paper. Chemical attack is visibly indicated by the formation of a stain; the absence of a stain infers acceptability of use.

Typical Applications

  • Mineral Oil
  • Diesel Fuel
  • Synthetic Diesel Fuel
  • Residual Oil
  • Waste Oil
  • Lubricating Oil
  • Gasoline
  • Organo Metallic Oil
  • Crude Oil
  • Light Oil
  • Biofuels
  • Synlubes
  • Metal Working Fluids
  • Motor Oil

XRF Sample Cup Work Stations

Chemplex XRF Sample Cup Work Stations represent a novel design approach in providing an organized resting place for sample cups after affixing thin-film sample support windows, preventing contamination to thin-films by eliminating contact with a counter top surface and facilitating the sample filling procedure.

A work station consists of single or six individual conical shaped cavities that allow acceptance of any size sample cups of the same or dissimilar diameters ranging from 24 mm to 45 mm. The conical shape of the cavity allows the smaller diameter sample cups to rest lower into the cavity than the larger sample cup diameters while maintaining the sample cups level in position. Multiple cavity work stations allow for the advanced preparation of a large number of samples in readiness for transporting to the instrumentation for x-ray analysis and a means of storage for future referral.

Work stations are offered in two models: a handy circular one position work station and a rectangular six position work station. For convenience, the cavities in the six position work station models are sequentially numbered. Work stations are fabricated from black anodized aluminum with white numbers stamped adjacent to the positions in the multi cavity work station.

XRF Sample Transfer Pipettes Simplify Filling Chemplex XRF Sample Cups and for General Laboratory Use

Disposable pipettes are available to transfer petrochemical and many other types of viscous and fluid samples into XRF sample cups and for general laboratory uses. Convenient chart illustrates the most appropriate pipette to use with any Chemplex XRF Sample Cup.

Ensure dispensing equal sample volumes in each XRF Sample Cup for x-ray analysis; prevent accidental spillage and cross contamination possibilities. Chemplex transfer pipettes are affordably priced for single time use.

Fabricated from polyethylene, the unbreakable transfer pipettes integrate the bulb with the stem for convenience of manipulation and easy dispensing. Select fine, medium or large tips for controlling dispensing samples of varying viscosities.

SNAP-ON RING FASTENER

SNAP-ON RING FASTENER

This is a handy device for affixing thin-film over a sample cup with "Snap-On Ring" assemblies. It applies equal pressure to the Snap-On Ring ensuring perfect alignment for a taut wrinkle-free sample support plane.

PALM HELD FASTENER

PALM HELD FASTENER

Held in the palm of the hand, this little device greatly facilitates affixing "Snap-On Rings" to XRF Sample Cups. Accommodates multiple diameters through a series of counter-bores. Establishes taut sample support thin-film planes with unified applied hand pressure.

VENT HOLE PUNCH

VENT HOLE PUNCH

XRF Sample Cups with thermoplastic seals and applications requiring equalization of pressure within the sample cup and sample chamber are easily ruptured to establish a vent hole. Simply place on top of the sample cup and gently push down on the knob. A vent hole of appropriate diameter is automatically made through the thermoplastic seal.
